The 11th pan-European Scientific Conference on QbD and PAT brings together scientists and engineers from across academia, industry, and regulatory bodies to discuss the latest developments in the field of pharmaceutical process and product development. This conference will focus on sustainable, resilient, and patient-centric medicine manufacturing. Each session will focus on a cutting-edge topic, including Sustainability in Medicines Manufacture, Digital Design of Drug Substance and Product, and Supply Chain Challenges, with presentations from guest speakers across industry and academia. Throughout each session, attention will be paid to the role of advances in modelling, simulation, data science, process and data analytics, and its contributions towards a Quality by Digital Design approach together with their reallife implementations. EuPAT 11 will also provide a platform to explore the future trends and emerging technologies in the field of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
Scientific Program
11th Oct – Workshop –Industrial Digital Technologies for Medicine Manufacturing Get up close and hands-on with CMAC’s Digital Medicines Manufacturing (DM2) research centre’s autonomous robotics and augmented reality assets. This workshop will allow you to join the team and explore the technology’s potential to realise more sustainable medicines manufacturing.
12th Oct – Session 1 Sustainability in Medicine Manufacturing – Session chair: Prof Thomas De Beer
12th Oct – Session 2 Digital Design of Drug Substance and Product – Session chair: Dr Peter Hamilton
13th Oct – Session 3 Drug Supply Chain Challenge – Session chair: Prof Jarkko Ketolainen
Hosted by CMAC
EuPAT 11 will be hosted by the Centre for Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallisation (CMAC). CMAC is an internationally leading medicines manufacturing research centre, bringing together academic institutes, technology providers, global pharmaceutical companies and other key stakeholders to co-create and co-deliver transformative solutions. CMAC delivers value to their stakeholders by creating the new science, innovative technologies & future workforce that will support the adoption of advanced CMC development, digital technologies and supply.
The conference will be held in the award-winning conferencing and events space at the Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC) at the University of Strathclyde. Located within the Glasgow City Innovation District, the TIC is a world-class research hub, revolutionising collaboration between academia,
industry and the public sector.
